Kate's Korner

Here I hold forth on matters writerly, and anything else that takes my fancy.

Name:
Location: Boyertown, Pennsylvania, United States

I've got enough short stories published for SFWA membership, and I'm in the middle of making the next jump to novel sales. The mad genius parts are true. I'm quite insane, and I qualified for Mensa at the tender age of 8 but never actually joined up. As far as I can tell being a mad genius isn't a good thing, although it can be fun.

Time Eating and Blockages

I've wasted a lot of time lately with a free game, Ahriman's Prophecy (http://www.amaranthia.com/modules/tinycontent/index.php?id=1). It's better than a lot of the paid games I' ve seen and despite a few hiccups plays well and has a lot of interesting puzzles to solve.

On the writing side, I'm still thoroughly blocked, although at least now I have a good notion why.

Depression. Again.

So, it's back on the round of doctors and shrinks, until something gets things stabilized somehow. Lovely...

At the moment, I don't even care that much that I'm not writing anything. I'm more concerned with stopping the disturbing tendnecy to look at the veins in my wrists and see them open and bleeding. I do not want this. I do not want to do this. I'm fighting this with every scrap of strength I can find.

Side note, for the fashion-impaired. Facial piercings and zits don't make a good combination. The result looks more like an oversized zit than a fazhion statement.
